As Market President for AmeriHealth Caritas Ohio, Mark Grippi serves as CEO of all operations in Ohio, ensuring alignment with the Ohio Department of Medicaid Next Generation of Medicaid Managed Care person-centered vision.
In his 30 years of healthcare leadership, Grippi has held positions including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Regional Director, and Director of Network and Sales at several leading managed care organizations across multiple states. He spent nearly a decade working in hospital operations and the long-term care industry as a nursing home executive director before entering managed care. He remains committed to improving outcomes by reducing administrative burden and focusing on culturally relevant healthcare delivery models.
Mark is an expert in quality improvement science and currently leads several all-plan projects in collaboration with the Ohio Department of Medicaid to improve outcomes in behavioral health, diabetes care, infant mortality and children’s health, and access to care.
Grippi earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Heidelberg University and is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator through the State of Ohio.
