ELECTRONIC HEALTH COMMUNICATIONS EXPANDS BEYOND CLEVELAND REGION

(Cleveland) – The MetroHealth System has joined the CliniSync Health Information Exchange (HIE), allowing it to connect to physicians, hospitals and other clinicians beyond Cuyahoga County and across the state.

CliniSync allows physicians and clinicians from different health systems to share information about the same patient electronically. This can speed up the process of communications, virtually eliminating the need for faxes, phone calls and letters when doctors and patients are waiting for critical test results or communicating with one another.

COLUMBUS, Ohio and SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 9, 2013 – Ohio's CliniSync Health Information Exchange today announced the signing of Harrison Community Hospital in Cadiz as well as Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney, bringing the number of Ohio hospitals in the CliniSync statewide health information exchange (HIE) to 101.
