Tondi Butler

Community Outreach Manager - Akron, Canton, Youngstown (Pennsylvania)

Tondi Butler, a health informatics and certified health information technology (HIT) specialist, joined The Partnership in July 2013 as a liaison to physicians in the Akron, Canton, and Youngstown regions who need guidance in connecting to our CliniSync HIE. As CliniSync expands to counties across state lines, Tondi will work with physicians in Pennsylvania.

Previously an HIT specialist in New York, her breadth of experience in implementing 2009 healthcare reform IT initiatives ranges from a deep knowledge of electronic health records, electronic data exchange, meaningful use stages, PQRI and EDI standards, Medicaid guidelines, and interoperability to HIPAA regulations, Stark Law, and EHR security measures and safeguards. Skilled in practice workflow, chart auditing, medical terminology, ICD 9 and 10 coding, and CPT 4 intervention coding, she has advised and trained medical staffing agencies, licensed home health agencies, service bureaus, hospital staff, physicians and nurses.

Tondi previously consulted for Pain Management Specialist of NY, a medical group practice in Bronx, NY, and started her career as a Personal Lines Account Executive for State Farm in Cleveland, and then, Insurance.com in Solon, Ohio. She will graduate next year with a master’s of science degree in Health Informatics from Kent State. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Health Care Administration from Concordia College in Bronxville, NY, is certified as an electronic health records specialist from the National Health Association and AHIMA. She also holds Property & Casualty, Life & Health as well as Annuities licenses for Ohio and New York State .

Tondi says, “I plan to bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the physicians of Ohio and make it my personal goal to see that I am an important resource and leader for this vital transition in Health IT. I love this work because it is gratifying to know I am providing solutions in the challenging world of health care.”
