DATA SCIENTIST

With a B.S. degree from The Ohio State University in Health Information Management and Systems, Rachael Hartfield joined the Ohio Health Information Partnership in August 2017 as an Interface Analyst, assisting the CliniSync Support Team as well as HIE Integration Team. In July 2019 she transitioned into a Data Scientist position, working closely with organizational wide reporting. Rachael brings a variety of skills from the healthcare IT world, including experience in database administration and interfacing ambulatory systems. She served as a database administrator and helpdesk lead at Premier Medical Associates in Monroeville, PA, a multispecialty organization of more than 100 providers near Pittsburgh, PA. There, she managed applications for the electronic health record (EHR), practice management system, patient portal, ophthalmology EHR, clinical quality system, HL7 interfaces, as well as SQL databases.

During her time as OSU, Rachael also worked for Complete Research Connection as a supervisor in Quality Assurance in 2012, where she led a team of 12 employees in market research involving focus groups, profiles and databases while being a full time student athlete on the Women’s Track and Field team. She interned for a year at OSU Medical Center in the Medical Information Management Department where she developed standard operating procedures for the transportation of medical records to other facilities and within OSUMC in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
